Our Story

Before there was a logo...before there were bags tied with ribbon... there was just a kitchen, a dream, and a whole lotta late nights.

Mom and Pup Bake Shop started the simple way - at home.

Flour on the counters, recipes being tested over and over, and a pup always nearby, hoping something would drop. What started as baking for family and friends for fun turned into something more. Friends began asking. Then their friends. Then people we didn't even know.

And every time someone took that first bite...you could see it - the smile, the pause, the "wow."

That's when we know this wasn't just about cookies.

It was about creating something that felt homemade, comforting, and real in a world that moves too fast. Something that brings people together - even if it's just for a moment.

At Mom & Pup Bake Shop, everything is made with intention. Every batch, every flavor, every detail. No shortcuts. Just real ingredients, and real love.

And through it all, one thing hasn't changed...

There's still a pup in the kitchen, still hoping for crumbs.

Meet Mom and Pup

Hi, I'm Heather, the "mom" to my Golden Retriever "pup" Jessa and founder of Mom & Pup Bake Shop.

Some of our recipes are originals and others are beloved family treasures, all perfected in our cozy kitchen with Jessa the Golden Retriever by my side.

Get to know our story, how we bake, and why we love serving Sacramento with sweetness.

Although Jessa (and other furry friends) may sometimes appear in photos in the kitchen on the website, she is not at any time present during the actual preparation, baking or packaging of any people products.

Every warm, cookie-scented kitchen deserves a four-legged assistant. For us, that is Jessa the golden retriever—our gentle, ever-patient pup who is happiest when she is stretched out on the floor while we bake.

Jessa may not do any of the mixing, but she keeps us company during late-night recipe testing, alerts us when the timer dings, and reminds us to step outside for fresh air between batches. Her calm, friendly presence inspired the “Pup” in Mom & Pup Bake Shop and our focus on treats that feel playful, comforting, and full of love.
